Disneyland Magic

Well folks, I'm home from the happiest place on earth. And that place really sticks to it's saying! I had so much fun, I wish I was still there.

We drove straight through on the first day. {12 hours, yuck yuck yuck!} Actually, it didn't feel like that long, the car ride was pretty entertaining. We sang Disney songs and chatted the whole time.
Sunday was Jerrica's birthday and the park was open from 9AM-12AM, which was pretty perfect because we did every single thing we could that day. It was exhausting spending that many hours in both the parks, but it was definitely worth it. I had so much fun riding the rides and seeing the characters, also enjoying my two excited best friends spending every minute with me. I rode Space Mountain for the first time, and although it almost gave me a heart attack I ended up loving it. Especially the Ghost Galaxy version. Yay Halloween!
I also rode Tower of Terror for the first time too, and I'm officially in love with that ride.
That night we even got to see the firework show and Fantasmic!

The next couple days were just repeats of things, and we just enjoyed our time there. The lines were perfect and we hardly had to wait for any rides. We met more characters, and even some villains were out and about, which are always my favorite.
We ate Churros, and Dole Whip, and frozen lemonade. Rode the rides multiple times, took pictures and had a blast.
A couple highlights:

- One day I ended up losing my sunglasses on Indiana Jones {well...not really a highlight, but I thought it was funny.}
- The Haunted Mansion was decked out for Halloween, and was Nightmare Before Christmas themed
- The Sounsational Parade
- Lots of shopping. I bought the greatest jacket with a skull on it that says 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and an adorable t-shirt with Lady on it.
- Making new inside jokes
- Riding the new Little Mermaid ride, awesome because it was one thing that the three of us were seeing for the first time
- CHURROS!
- Star Tours....it is seriously amazing.
- Getting autographs in my book like a kid.
- Jerrica and Crystal getting their birthday pins and hearing everyone say "Happy Birthday!" to them.

The last day was Crystal's birthday, and we spent the day in both parks. We went on Crystal's favorite ride a couple times {Soarin' Over California} and had lunch at her favorite spot.
That night we got to watch World of Color, and it is truly one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. If you ever plan a trip to Disneyland you have to go over to California Adventure one night and see it. It made my jaw drop within the first minute of the show.
The next morning we drove halfway home and stayed the night in St. George, where we spent our time goofing off and laughing our butts off.
We got home on Friday and I was already missing it!

It was a great adventure, and I had so much fun making memories with my two wonderful best friends. I love them beyond explanation and I'm so lucky I got to share their birthdays with them!

Awkward & Awesome Thursday

Hi everyone! Remember me?
I used to blog here a lot, but then I got lazy and boring.

But here I am! And I'm doing an Awkward and Awesome post, because it's been a long time :)

AWKWARD:

Waking up late and not having time to shave my legs or put any makeup on. Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so broke out right now :( I hate being 22 and having acne.
Getting my hair trimmed and leaving with little hairs all over my face making me look like I need to shave or something. That went really well with the unshaven legs and no makeup.
Waving at someone you hadn't seen in awhile, and having them not even recognize you. Yikes. I guess it had been awhile...
Shopping around Rue 21 and getting a little to involved, resulting in forgetting to check the time on my phone. Luckily I finally did because I had to leave to go pick my brothers up from school. That's a true shopaholic there....
Falling asleep with my phone in my hand, with the light on and randomly snapping out of it not realized what happened. Ever done that? I feel like such a dork when I'm suddenly jerked awake because it's kind of a dramatic act.

AWESOME:

Getting my hair done! The purple in my hair was so weird...the strands that were dyed had about 1/2 an inch of grow-out, then the middle was a blonde color, and the tips were still dark purple! Crazy! So I decided to just do an all over chocolatey brown color for the fall, and got full bangs. Love it!
Seeing my hair girl, who gave birth to her adorable son the week after my last appointment. She told me all about being a mother and I loved seeing her so happy. She's adorable.

Walking out of Rue 21 {after putting my stuff on hold to run and get my brothers} with 4 shirts, a purse, 5 pairs of underwear and a t-shirt for Taran and only spending $30.
Season premier of The Vampire Diaries was tonight! Man, I missed those dreamy vamps on my tv every Thursday. I have a feeling this season is going to be goooood.
I GO TO DISNEYLAND ON SATURDAY.

8/31/11

17 Days.

I realized that I've been MIA for almost 3 weeks. Whoever follows me or actually reads this -- sorry about that.

I have a couple of well thought out and plausible reasons for my lack of posts.

1. I'm lazy.

2. Well.....no that's about it. Basically I'm just lazy.

I've thought about what I could blog about, and hadn't come up with much.

You guys, my life is pretty uneventful.

But listen to this.

I will be in Disneyland in 17 days.

Also; I thought I'd try something different with my hair today. I haven't done a middle part since I was a kid. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Taran isn't a fan of it, he likes the bangs :) and I appreciate his honesty.

What do you guys think? I'll probably go back to my regular style tomorrow ha!

I'll try to post more.

And I'll try to remember to charge my camera so you're not forced to look at these iPhone quality pics.

We'll see.

Mickey Mouse

I had tripod issues today so this was the best picture I got! The whole outfit is from Wet Seal and the shoes are from Marshall's :)

Today I spent my day off with my two amazing best friends! In September they'll both be turning 23 so we have planned a trip to Disneyland to celebrate both of their birthdays. Today we got together and made "Disney Money" boxes.

We wrapped up some shoe boxes and decorated them, then cut a whole in top where we will throw money and loose change in it every chance we get and that will be any extra spending money for the trip! I thought the idea was brilliant and we had a blast making them.

After we were done we went and gone ice cream and took a walk in the park {which was short-lived because it got pretty chilly really quick!}

It was a lovely day.
